For Hospital

Ideal for visiting friends and loved ones, the x50 & x52 is the only route that links both of North East Wales' major hospitals. So, if you live in Rhyl or Ruthin and need to reach either Ysbyty Glan Clwyd or Wrexham Maelor hospital, try the X50 & X52.

Buses will almost always travel through along the entire route from Rhyl to Wrexham where shown in the timetable by a large arrow. Usually you won't need to change buses...

Wrexham Maelor Hospital

With evening and Sunday buses, it's never been easier to visit the Maelor.

Travel back in the evening and if you have a valid day return issued on the x50 & x52 or Connexxions+, you can change at Ruthin onto Arriva's 51 without further payment, after 1815 (all day on Sundays)

Ysbyty Glan Clwyd

Buses from Wrexham and Ruthin usually travel through to Ysbyty Glan Clwyd at Bodelwyddan, where shown in the timetable. You can normally stay on the bus.

If you need to stay later, you can travel in the evenings on Arriva 51 to Ruthin and change for Wrexham. Valid Connexxions+and x50 & x52 day return tickets are accepted on Arriva's 51 after 1815.

If you live in Denbigh or Trefnant, your best bus service to and from Ysbyty Glan Clwyd is Arriva's 51, which operates up to every 20 minutes during the day and broadly hourly in the evening.

You may use a valid x50 & x52 day return and your Connexxions+ ticket on Arriva's 51 after 1815 (all day on Sundays and bank holidays). Sorry, during the day you can't use return tickets issues on x50 & x52 or your Connexxions+ on the 51, or vice versa.
